This page explains how to permanently delete your The Guard BJJ account and all associated data. The in-app option is the fastest. If you no longer have access to the app, you can also request deletion by email.
1. From inside the app (recommended)
iOS (App Store)
Open The Guard BJJ on your iPhone.
Tap the Profile tab (4th tab in the bottom bar).
Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion in the dialog.
Android (Google Play)
Open The Guard BJJ on your Android device.
Tap the Profile tab (4th tab in the bottom bar).
Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion in the dialog.
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately after confirmation. This action cannot be undone.
2. By email request
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to hello@theguardbjj.app with the subject line Account Deletion, sent from the email address registered on your account.
We process these requests within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
Account (email, display name, profile)
Training history (sessions, techniques, calories, heart rate)
Belt journey and milestones
Photos attached to training sessions
Premium subscription token (your status reverts to Free immediately)
4. What is retained
Anonymized error logs (no personally identifiable information) for up to 90 days, used for diagnostics.
Financial records for Premium subscriptions, kept for the legally required period (5 years in Brazil) for tax purposes only — these records are not linked to your email.
Your subscription itself is managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Deleting your The Guard BJJ account does not cancel your subscription. To cancel, follow the steps in your Apple ID or Google Play account.
