"My athletes used to train blind — no data, just feel. Now I can see who's overtraining, who's ready to compete, and who needs to dial back. It changed how I program their weeks."
"One of my athletes cut 4kg for a competition while keeping his energy on the mats. That only happened because we had real calorie data from actual rolls, not guesswork from a running app."
"I stopped guessing and started seeing. My journey on a timeline, my calories per roll, my consistency month after month — it's the first app that actually feels made for someone who trains."
"I train three times a week and I'm not competing any time soon — but seeing my mat streak grow and my calories tracked session after session keeps me showing up. That accountability hit different."
Dark, focused interface designed for quick logging and real training flow.

Live heart rate tracking uses the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Service (BLE 180D). We recommend BLE armbands — they stay secure during rolls.
Coospo HW9, Polar OH1/OH1+, Scosche Rhythm24, and similar BLE armbands.
ANT+ bands require an external adapter; not natively supported on phones.
Yes. Track every session, log your journey, set monthly goals, use home screen widgets, and share progress cards — all free, forever. No account required, no ads. Premium is an optional upgrade for deeper insights, full history, and cloud backup.
Completely. The Guard BJJ works fully offline — log workouts, track heart rate, and view your stats without any connection. Your data lives on your device. If you upgrade to Premium, cloud backup syncs when you're back online.
Yes. Your data stays on your device by default. We don't sell or share your information. If you enable Premium cloud backup, data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Read our privacy policy for details.
Absolutely. Heart rate, calories, and session logging work the same for gi, no-gi, or MMA. The journey feature is BJJ-specific, but everything else applies to any grappler.
Nope. You can log sessions, track your journey, set monthly goals, use home screen widgets, and share progress cards — all without a band. The app works great on its own.
That's where the real magic happens. With a BLE heart rate band you get live heart rate tracking during rolls, BJJ-specific calorie estimation based on your actual effort, recovery and readiness guidance, and richer data synced to Apple Health. Without a band, calories are a rough estimate — with one, they're based on your real intensity on the mats.
